Today's success had its genesis back in 1931 when, as a lad of 16, Chairman Harold Gross joined his father, sister and a single workman in very modest premises, to start a used machinery business. By hard work and sheer determination, the young company survived the troubled '30's, contributed to the country's war effort in the '40s and energetically participated in the exciting conversion to peacetime production in the '50s.
